The top story of 2024 was:
AI for the Masses
Artificial Intelligence now writes articles, produces digital art, and even business presentations.
Trump’s Return
Through lawsuits, criminal prosecutions, even assassinations(!), and the legacy of January 6, 2021, Donald Trump won the Presidential election. No, he didn’t so much won the election as the Democrats lost it – which means that he won.
Russia Gains Territory in The Ukraine
–But at huge costs in manpower, equipment, and supplies. Unless something changes, it is doubtful whether their economy can last through 2025. The Ukraine may be on the verge of victory despite their territorial losses.
Israel’s Isolation
As the Gaza War dragged on, world opinion turned against Israel at a significantly higher level than before. This year’s opposition to Israel was different because it was not based on a pragmatic judgment of sucking up the Arab nations so much as it was based on concern of the high casualties among the civilian population. There were mass demonstrations supporting the Palestinians around the world. But if the anti-Israel demonstrators were as pro-Palestinian as they claimed to be, then why were they not calling for free election? They had done so for years.
NATO Expansion
Finland and Sweden joined NATO bringing the alliance to Russia’s northwest border. Just behind the border is one Russia’s biggest cities, St. Petersburg, its chief port on the Baltic Sea.

The Cathedral, one of Europe’s most historic buildings (since the eleventh century) was reopened on December 7 after a fire in 2019 swept through the building.
Taylor Swift, Mega-Star
Her Eras Tour together with her videos and records made her the richest and most influential singer in history – or at least since Sinatra or Elvis.
