Napoleon Bonaparte’s Egyptian campaign took place from 1798 to 1801. The French Expedition aimed to establish a French colony in Egypt and threaten British possessions in India. Despite initial victories, the campaign ultimately failed, and Egypt remained under Ottoman control. The campaign included naval operations in the Mediterranean.
