Today is New Year’s Eve.

As 2021 Recedes into History

Let’s do a quick retrospective of it.

The top story of 2021 was the January 6 riot at the US Capitol. The aftermath continued to the end of the year. It reduced Donald Trump from a national figure to a partisan one.

Other top stories of the year:

    • The catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal
    • The inescapable threat of Big Tech’s censorship and mechanisms of social control
    • The rise of inflation
    • Covid related vaccine mandates and the resistance to them.
    • Covid related school closings and rise of cyber classes
    • November elections and Republican victories and

The most surprising story of the year was the conservatorship of Britney Spears. How could a major celebrity under scrutiny of both the courts and the public in general have been held in such bondage and for so many years?
