This holiday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This is significant because only a divine authority can reverse death.
When this site does religious history, we normally do Popes and other religious leaders although Christianity is supposed to be practiced from the bottom up. Today is our opportunity to look at religious history from a Godly perspective: ordinary people living Godly lives.
Here’s a thought for today.
Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.”
—Pope John Paul II
