From the latest happenings in things historical. This article Scott and Shackleton Logbooks Prove Antarctic Sea Ice Is Not Shrinking 100 Years After Expeditions was published 16 days ago in The Telegraph (a British newspaper). The article’s author is Sarah Knapton.

The word “prove” may be a bit strong. From the news story it does seem that there is some solid evidence that the Antarctic ice is substantially the same as 100 years ago. How does this square with global warming? Perhaps southern weather patterns that isolate Antarctica from the rest of the world?
