Is it true that the losers have always accepted the results of a U.S. Presidential election?
So in last Tuesday night’s debate Donald Trump said he might not accept the results of the election. So okay, this was a dumb statement. Then there all of those pundits and what they have been saying.
Trump will probably loose the election and will slowly fade from view. Those pundits will still be with us. So what about their claim that the elections were always accepted by the losers?
What about the aftermath of the election of 1860? The next month South Carolina seceded from the Union. The deep south quickly followed. It took a Civil War to get those states back.
This is a story of dumb and dumber. Trump and the pundits.
