The Rise of Conservatism

Bringing the best history on the web. — From Crash Course, their US History Series, #41. The Rise of Conservatism, published on December 13, 2013.

In which John Green teaches you about the rise of the conservative movement in United States politics.

This is a pretty bad video by a very biased liberal. It pushes the myth that conservatives are racists and that Nixon was really bad. The Republican victory in the elections of 1966 and the rise of Reagan in 1966 is not mentioned at all. This video’s story of the Equal Rights Amendment is mostly fiction. William F. Buckley is nowhere to be found in this video. Bad episode in an otherwise excellent series. It is included here to complete the series.
