Neolithic Torture Victims Found

by Jack Le Moine

From the latest happenings in things historical. This article Was Prehistoric Man Responsible For First Ever War Crime? was published 5 days ago in The Telegraph. The article’s author is Sarah Knapton .

The newspaper cites reasearchers from the University of Mainz who discovered a burial site from 4,000 years ago. The bones showed signs of multiple blows not consistent with battle wounds.

Although mass graves have been found before from the stone age, it is the first time that skeletons have shown evidence of needless violence.”

One must note that modern explorers encountered many cases of natives with Stone Age level societies that practiced torture, so this does not surprise me.
