July Fourth, 2014

July 4th.

This is the true birthday of the United States of America.  Lately, people have been counting from Constitution Day instead.  This includes President Obama.

So what comes first – countries or government.  Government does not create countries.  Government is something that countries need, like they need an economy, a geography, and a culture.

In the future, should the United States of America adopt a new constitution, its birthday will still be July 4, 1776.
